Halifax est construite sur une colline au bord de la mer en haut de laquelle se dresse l\u2019ancienne citadelle de l\u2019arm\u00e9e imp\u00e9riale Anglaise. Et au pied de cette citadelle, se trouve l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.princegeorgehotel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">H\u00f4tel Prince George<\/a> dans le lequel j\u2019ai s\u00e9journ\u00e9 pour plusieurs jours de vacances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n\n<center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" et \u00e0 quelques rues de la promenade pi\u00e9tonni\u00e8re qui longue le bord de la mer. Vous n\u2019aurez pas de vue sur l\u2019oc\u00e9an de cet h\u00f4tel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il y a un restaurant sur place dans l\u2019h\u00f4tel, mais lors de notre s\u00e9jour, il \u00e9tait ferm\u00e9 les lundis et mardis soir. Il y a toutefois plusieurs restaurant aux alentours \u00e0 distance de marche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>La chambre<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-advancedgallery tr\u00e8s bien meubl\u00e9e. Toutefois, dans ma chambre ces meubles sont vieillots et us\u00e9s. C\u2019est un tapis qui recouvre le plancher, propre et en bon \u00e9tat. Un fauteuil de lecture a \u00e9t\u00e9 plac\u00e9 dans un coin, en dessous une lampe sur pied. \u00c0 l\u2019autre coin du mur ext\u00e9rieur, un grand r\u00e9camier peut aussi \u00eatre int\u00e9ressant pour la lecture et est orient\u00e9 vers la TV. Cette t\u00e9l\u00e9vision est pos\u00e9e sur une commode, adjacente au bureau de travail. Il y a un grand choix de cha\u00eene offertes et des films \u00e0 la cartes. Des prises USB et HDMI sont aussi disponibles sur ce t\u00e9l\u00e9viseur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le lit est tr\u00e8s confortable. Les oreillers, quoique immenses, \u00e9taient trop ferme \u00e0 mon go\u00fbt, ce qui a compromis globalement la qualit\u00e9 de mon sommeil. On y retrouve un grand bureau de travail et une chaise \u00e0 roulettes. Plusieurs prises de courant sont accessibles sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9 du bureau. Dans une alc\u00f4ve, dans le petit corridor qui relie la chambre \u00e0 la porte d\u2019entr\u00e9e, sur une tablette sont disponible une machine \u00e0 caf\u00e9 Keurig, des verres, des tasses et des petites bouteilles d\u2019eau en plastique. Sous cette tablette, un petit frigo o\u00f9 j\u2019ai trouv\u00e9, \u00e0 ma grande satisfaction, des petits contenants de cr\u00e8me et de lait pour le caf\u00e9. Il n&rsquo;y a pas de four micro-onde dans cette chambre. Des bouteilles de vin, une de rouge et une de blanc, sont aussi disponibles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de cette alc\u00f4ve, ce trouve une grande garde-robe, \u00e0 porte double, dans laquelle ont \u00e9t\u00e9 plac\u00e9 des robes de chambres et des pantoufles. On y trouve aussi un coffre-fort. Les couleurs sont diff\u00e9rentes de celles de la chambre, plus p\u00e2les, dans un ton de gris qui rend la pi\u00e8ce agr\u00e9able. Plusieurs produits d\u2019hygi\u00e8ne sont fournis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il n\u2019y a pas de bain, seulement une douche sans porte, avec un panneau de verre fixe. L\u2019ouverture d\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la douche est mal dimensionn\u00e9e et permet \u00e0 l\u2019eau d\u2019\u00eatre projet\u00e9e sur le plancher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>J\u2019ai r\u00e9serv\u00e9 ma chambre au sixi\u00e8me que l\u2019on nomme le \u00ab&nbsp;Crown Floor&nbsp;\u00bb en demandant un acc\u00e8s au lounge \u00ab&nbsp;Six-Seventeen&nbsp;\u00bb. Cet endroit est r\u00e9serv\u00e9 aux visiteurs qui ont pay\u00e9 le suppl\u00e9ment pour y avoir acc\u00e8s. C\u2019est une salle qui comporte plusieurs tables et chaises, des divans, et tr\u00e8s pratique, par exemple, pour y tenir des rencontres dans un environnement plus confidentiel que celui du hall de l\u2019h\u00f4tel. Des boissons, caf\u00e9 et collations sucr\u00e9es et sal\u00e9es, des fruits, sont disponibles toute la journ\u00e9e gratuitement. Un ordinateur et une imprimante y sont aussi disponibles. adjacente au hall d\u2019entr\u00e9e, avec un excellent choix de plusieurs plats chauds. Un bar donne aussi sur le hall, et il \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s achaland\u00e9 en fin de journ\u00e9e durant mon s\u00e9jour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On trouve aussi dans cet \u00e9tablissement une piscine int\u00e9rieure avec sauna et une petite salle de gymnastique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durant mon s\u00e9jour, le personnel de l\u2019h\u00f4tel a \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s sympathique et serviable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un stationnement int\u00e9rieur est disponible et payant, en sus du co\u00fbt de la chambre, avec ou sans service de valet, \u00e0 son choix. L\u2019internet Wi-Fi est disponible gratuitement et d\u2019excellente qualit\u00e9. L\u2019\u00e9tablissement poss\u00e8de aussi plusieurs salles de r\u00e9unions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Design<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans les aires communes du rez-de-chauss\u00e9e, notamment dans le hall, la d\u00e9coration est coh\u00e9rente et assez moderne. On a choisi une palette de gris qui permet de produire des zones de luminosit\u00e9 et des contrastes int\u00e9ressants. D\u00e8s qu\u2019on passe aux \u00e9tages, cette th\u00e9matique disparait et on d\u00e9couvre un design plus ancien, dans des teintes de brun plus conservateur, comme si la mise \u00e0 jour du design n\u2019\u00e9tait pas compl\u00e9t\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans ma chambre, j\u2019ai retrouv\u00e9, en partie, le style et des teintes du rez-de-chauss\u00e9e. En partie, parce que les meubles ne suivent pas tous ce style. Et on comprend, \u00e0 constater le niveau d\u2019usure de certaines pi\u00e8ces de mobilier, que l\u2019effort n\u2019y est pas compl\u00e9t\u00e9 non plus. La salle de bain aussi ressemble \u00e0 un travail incomplet puisque le comptoir et le meuble de rangement trainent encore des tons de bois sombre et une surface brun marbr\u00e9 d\u2019il y a 30 ans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mon grain de sel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La localisation du Prince Georges est excellente, notamment pour les congr\u00e8s. Son emplacement \u00e0 mi-chemin entre la citadelle et le bord de mer en fait aussi un excellent choix pour un s\u00e9jour touristique urbain. Les avantages offerts dans la chambre et dans l\u2019h\u00f4tel montrent la volont\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9tablissement d\u2019offrir un service sup\u00e9rieur.
